Project Dexterity
I’ve explored many design spaces: software growing up, hardware in college, and robotics mixed throughout. My time at UVA culminated with my leading a team to design a teleoperated humanoid hand.

The project started with a finger tracker glove, which I built in collaboration with @Nepyope. (Check out his glove here.) There was a series of these gloves made by a community in a Discord channel, such as the recently popularized Eidon Glove, which is the easiest one to recreate.

The Dexhand from TheRobotStudio formed the base design for the hand, with additions such as force-sensitive resistors (FSRs) on the fingertips, resin prints for tighter tolerances, and a control stand.
As the project was coming together, I connected with Rob Knight and Remi Cadene. They invited my team and me out to the inaugural Humanoids Summit, and we flew out the day after our demo at UVA. At the conference, we got everything up and running after Instacarting a soldering iron to fix a broken solder joint :D
It was awesome to see all the cool projects and companies that came out to the event! I even got to tour the NVIDIA headquarters and interned there the following year!
